Honoring Our Fallen Veterans

To honor our fallen Veterans, earlier today we volunteered at a cemetery clean-up that’s 95% military, with plots dating all the way back to the Civil War!

We raked a lot of leaves, cleaned off many dusty headstones, hauled off truckloads of leaves and debris, and met some wonderful people with massive hearts and great stories to share!!!

Have you ever seen a tombstone made of wood before?

There are actually two wooden grave markers in the above picture. The front one is almost gone, but someone still comes around to visit and leaves flowers. <3

If you’d like to know what this has to do with increasing optimism, well, we feel it’s pretty important to show gratitude and to inspire others to understand how our troops have fought across many decades to protect us and our freedoms.

Things like volunteering to serve others to share messages like this and / or working together with your community toward something beautiful, naturally fills your heart with joy & happiness…. which, of course, means more optimism all around!!!
