Reins of Hope - Humans and Horses Healing Together

No words sum up the joy of what it feels like the first time a rescue horse runs across a field to greet you immediately upon hearing your voice.

(And, no, we’re not the ones who feed him… lol… )

This guy is absolutely amazing.

His name is Scooter.

He’s one of a handful of rescued horses involved in the EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) programs offered through the wonderful folks at Reins of Hope.

EAP is a form of Ecotherapy that’s not yet very well-known, but recently has begun rising in popularity in the vastly growing arena of nature-based therapies.

Reins of Hope, located in Southern California, provides incredible healing sessions for at-risk youth, military personnel, and others. From alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD to helping manage emotional trauma & histories of abuse, to nurturing feelings of confidence, self-esteem & opening up communication, this very gentle (yet very intense!) therapeutic approach takes healing to new levels.

Please donate to this very special organization if you can. Or spend some time volunteering!

A little goes a long way to helping many.

Private and /or couples therapy sessions are available, too, if you or someone you know would like to experience what it’s like to heal with horses.
